Another productive meeting at Casarita's on August 11th. We covered a lot of business - see the Minutes for details. The next meeting will be our summer social on September 8 at Jim and Kay Renfrow's home in Heritage Park. Plan to arrive around 11 AM. The meal will be catered, except desserts and hors d'oeuvres. When you RSVP to Jo, let her know if you plan to bring either. Bring your own alcoholic beverage - ice tea, coffee, water, etc. will be furnished. The Treasurer, Sherry, tells me the cost will be around $7 a person - that's what it was last year. We will need a headcount for dinner, so call or e-mail Jo by September 4th with the number in your group: (h) 210-646-7739, e-mail jeveagee4@yahoo.com If you need to contact Kay - (h) 830-420-3578, e-mail ifly76c@highspeedtexas.com Kay has some chairs, but you might bring a couple of chairs. Invite your family and friends. Everyone is welcome.

Because of Tex's illness, Marty Goppert has resigned as Vice Chair of the chapter. Kay Renfrow accepted the position, and was appointed by Patty Taylor.
Word is that Tex has finished another round of chemo and is doing well.
A number was omitted in Sharon Homuth's home telephone number in the chapter directory. Her home number is 210-494-9976. The Yearbook replacement pages that are being mailed out have the correction.
Plans for the postponed Poker Rally are coming along. The dates are October 13th and rain date of October 27th. The original rain date (20th) did not work out with the airport. Courtesy vehicles at BAZ will be available for flyers to go to Clear Springs Restaurant for lunch. The meeting room is available from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Sherry has the flier ready and it is attached to this newsletter. As was decided at the meeting, please print out copies for distribution, FBOs, flight schools, terminals, aviation supply houses, anywhere pilots are! Suggest using bright colored paper to be more eye-catching. If you don't have a copier and need some, let me know and I will bring them to the social on September 8th.
