What a great time we had at the Awards Banquet! Our thanks and appreciation to Shannon Walker for her presentation - it takes a special person to go through the training required of an astronaut and she certainly has our admiration. For the record, those attending were: Patty and Ben Taylor, daughter Kathy and granddaughter Crystal Mann, Sandy Miarecki, Sherry Walker, daughter Shannon Walker, son Robert Walker and wife Ginger, grandchildren Sara and Hazel, Reni and Roger Moczygemba, Margaret Cosby, Gloria Blank, Barbara and Jack Moore, Winnie Clements, Ann Clements, Marty Goppert, Laura Richter, daughter Laura Garza and husband Daniel, granddaughter Lea Linebaugh, sister and brother-in-law Patty and John Achilles, Stella and Ray Leis, Jo and Conrad Housler, Ginny McDaniel, daughter Sherry McDaniel, Pam Crane, Alice Foeh, Betty Sue Basham, husband Willie Nunez, Lena Cronk, Kay Wells and Nancy Aldrich.Nancy presented the Chairman's Pilot of the Year Award to Gloria Blank and FWP of the Year to Reni Moczygemba and Kay Renfrow. Reni also received the Chapter Scholarship of $500. Reni's note of appreciation follows:
"This letter of appreciation cannot fully describe the gratitude I have for the generous gift that will keep giving for years to come. I wish to express my sincere thanks to the San Antonio 99s for the $500 FWP Scholarship I was awarded at this year's banquet. It is deeply appreciated and much needed. Every dime (and more, I'm sure) will be applied to completing my training and reaching my goal: my private pilots license! Thank you very much for your faith in me, your prayers in my endeavors and your confidence in my abilities. I hope to make you proud! With kind regards, Reni Moczygemba."

The Yearbook replacement pages will go out with this newsletter. We do not have a schedule for the coming year as yet. We'll be working on that. The e-mail group was sent the directory portion earlier. There are 2 corrections. Please correct Alice Foeh's email address to: foehra@sbcglobal.net Also, add Arpinder's husband's name: Pritpal. These corrections have been made to the pages being sent out.
