HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!Where did the year 2009 go? Don't know, but the San Antonio Chapter had loads of fun and activity! And the Board is planning for more in 2010.
Much appreciation to Barbara and Jack Moore for their usual gracious hospitality in hosting our Christmas party. There were around 30 in attendance who enjoyed the hors d'oeuvres, visiting and the fun gift exchange.
Not a 99s function, but on December 27, Denise hosted a party for our favorite son of a 99, Margaret Cosby's Michael - would he be a 49 1/4? Over the years, he has surely been there supporting the San Antonio chapter all over the world with us, attending chapter, section and international conferences, as well as certain chapter activities. We thanked him for his support, as well as being in the Iraq area for many years serving our country. Thirteen 99s, family and guests attended and enjoyed all the food, wine and margaritas. We had a great time.
NEXT MEETING: This Saturday, January 9th, 10 AM at Stinson Airfield in the terminal building. We will have a short business meeting, then carpool to the museum to see all the new features. After touring the museum at your leisure, those who would like to, return to the terminal building restaurant for lunch. Lots of new things to see at SSF, especially for those of us who remember it in the '70s.
ANNUAL ZONTA AMELIA EARHART DINNER: January 20, 2010 at THE PETROLEUM CLUB, Cocktails at 5:30, dinner served at 6:00 PM. Dinner is $25, payable to Sherry Walker when you arrive. Make the check out to San Antonio 99s. Sherry will pay Zonta for the number of reservations made.
