Our
next event will be the SAT Airport Tower Tour on January 10th. Please bring a dozen cookies/brownies/whatever to leave with
those folk. We will congregate at
the Tower at 10 AM.
Also
in January (the 21st) is the traditional Zonta dinner.
Nancy Aldrich will be their guest speaker, so let’s all try to
make it. It’s always an
enjoyable evening. Cocktails
(cash bar) at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30 PM.
Dinner is generally about $20, pay at-the-door. PLEASE let Nancy know if you plan to
attend. They will need a
headcount. Place: Petroleum Club, Energy Building, top

The
University of Texas Medical Branch holds an annual symposium to honor one of their former space medicine fellows
and astronaut, Patty Hilliard Robertson, who was killed in an aircraft
accident. The symposium features 4
presentations. Two are generally on
aeromedical factors in aerobatics and two are on general topics in
aerobatics. Each year, they try to
feature at least one female aerobatic pilot. This year, the featured speaker will be Marta Bohn-Meyer
from the US Aerobatic team. The
Ninety-nines are invited to attend.
The conference will be held from 8-1:00 on April 27, 2004 at the Center
for Advanced Space Studies at 3600 Bay Area Blvd., near the Johnson Space
Center in Houston. There is no
charge for the symposium or luncheon.
