There's a very interesting article in this month's issue of Cessna Owner Association's magazine, about when not to fly. Just to share a few tidbits with you - - of course, you know the obvious: illness, medication, stress, alcohol, fatigue, emotion. It's best not to fly with the flu, cold, an ear infection; sinus or allergy problems, and if you use allergy or sinus medication, wait 24 hours to fly. Other reasons not to fly: blood pressure over 200; if weight could pose a problem in exiting the plane (especially from the back seat); severe COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease); asthma; someone who has had past blood clots in their legs. Did you know that lack of sleep has the same effect on your body as alcohol? How do you feel about taking someone up who is afraid to fly?
On a sad note, Hugh Walker, beloved husband of Sherry Walker, passed on to new horizons early morning of February 3rd. Our love and sympathy to Sherry and her family.
Happy Birthday to Marsha Copeland (February 22nd)!!
