What A great time we had at the Awards Banquet July 17! Many kudos to Reni for a fun program, and a fun day! Thanks to Cheryl for arranging the place for our banquet - very nice having so many selections in the menu. The restaurant was centrally located and easy to find for everyone. Everything worked out beautifully.John Aken was initiated in the 49 1/2 society (tongue in cheek) by Jack Moore, took the oath like a real trouper and was indeed a good sport! I hear he will hang his certificate in the flight school. Now, that deserves some accolades.
The Chairman's Pilot of the Year Award was presented to Cheryl Casillas, who was thoroughly surprised but very deserving!

NEXT MEETING - August 14 at SSF (Stinson Airfield in the classroom upstairs). We'll begin at 10:00 AM with a business meeting, and John Aken has offered the use of the simulator after that. We'll also do the usual lunch in the restaurant.
